Growing up in NYC I remember being in the clubs watching the hot girl with the clip board walk around adding names to the Mailing List. She would work the bar, work the line outside, and even bust a move and the dance floor while she filled up her list. And the artists loved her for it.

At the end of the night they had a list of highly targeted leads. Leads that have already been exposed to the product are interested in what you put out, are actively looking for more.

Building you List the absolute foundation of Network Marketing, and you have been doing it for years.

The concept is there: these people are interested in me and I want to be able to reach them and keep in touch. I am here to show you how to take that one step further and turn you list into CASH MONEY.

Aweber is a great Auto responder and also the one I use. It’s is pretty much the standard. There is a small monthly fee but for the options and accessibility you are getting a deal. Other cheaper or free auto responders have some string attached….attached to ads and whole other junk that slows you down.

We need to keep operations streamlined, keep you focused. There is no time to waste. I want you making the most of every minute you spend online. In social media or working on your blog you need to get into a routine of Money Making Habits. Take These 3 Practical Steps

Goals give you a purpose for taking life on. People who live without goals have no purpose and it is obvious even in their body language. They are on permanent idle; they slouch; they list from side to side. Their conversations dawdle. They telephone you: “Hey, I’m just calling. I wasn’t doing anything, so I thought I’d call you.” Well, don’t call ME. I’VE got things to do.

Many people just muddle through life. They don’’t read informational material, they don’t even pay attention when they WATCH television. If you ask them what they are watching, they mumble-mouth, “Nothin’, I’m just lookin’.”

What are your goals for your career? For your relationships? For your spiritual life? Develop a schedule for the next month, the next six months, the next year, five years and ten years. Write it all out.

Let’s take one of the most common goals: You want to make more money. If that is your goal, then take some practical steps toward realizing it.

  1. First, determine specifically how much money you want to make. Then, double that amount and make THAT your goal. Even if you don’t reach the higher amount, you will probably still find yourself making more than your original goal.
  2. Second, decide the amount of energy you are willing to expend to reach your goal. How many hours are you willing to work a day? How many jobs are you willing to hold down? What sort of work are you willing to do?
  3. A third step in this process is to develop a practical plan of action and get started immediately. Chart out where you want to be in relation to your goal in the next month, six months, one year, five years and ten years. Get started today. Go apply for that second job NOW! Go enroll in that career training program NOW! Ask for that raise NOW!

And finally, make sure that you have all of this written down so that you can review it every morning and every night and envision yourself taking these steps, DOING THEM and SUCCEEDING!

As you close the book on 2009 you want to find some places where you can congratulate yourself and some places where you can really acknowledge yourself for some progress you have created, or some of the ground that you broken even if your results haven’t quite caught up with your personal growth as of today.

Take just a moment and bring one moment to life, a moment of meaning that happened in your day, week or month of 2009 that created real significance for you.  One example that showed you are on the right track.   It can be as simple as connecting with the right people or learning a new skill, just one golden nugget.

What has changed and what confirms that you are on the right path as an entrepreneur as you charge into 2010.

Sometimes it is very easy to get caught up thinking about all of our goals/aspirations/ dreams but maybe 2009 is not the year those came true for you.  This may not have been your most successful year in business but create some clarity about what you have learned from this year.  What are some of the experiences you’ve had an opportunity to be part of this year?  What have you learned from them about business, about yourself, about marketing and especially about sales?

Highly effective people do on a daily basis.  It is one of their habits and it is one of the reasons they continue to create such huge successful years, year after year after year. You do not require tricks or ploys to seduce people into doing business with you.

As a trainer or sales professional you will see all the tricks of the trade.  These are the little games that sales people play to get ahead.  And the challenge is that many of these little tricks are just that.  They are tricks.

What you need is a strong clear message of why it makes sense for people to do business with you.

Using shortcuts or tricks contradicts the message you desire to radiate and that message is: It is a good business decision to trust me.

One habit that you can begin to implement to change your results tonight is to Communicate that trusting you is a sound business decision to your prospects.  So if you are trying to sell cars talk about cars – If you are selling cows, talk about cows.  If you are marketing a business opportunity, talk about the business opportunity.  Do not fall into the trap of using one product to seduce a prospect into a conversation or interaction with you with the intent on selling them something else later.

Assist your prospect to see exactly why it makes sense to collaborate
with you in business rather than buy from someone else.

Learn to communicate the value that you bring to the table in any transaction and you will build a solid a credible business in any market within the sales industry.   As you hear other stories and ideas that other sales people are implementing ask yourself if these methods are within your integrity before implementing them.   If a trick or a shortcut comes at the expense of your integrity then the price is much too high.    A successful sales person is a good leader because they inspire trust.

Top sales people in world class organizations have personal magnetism that naturally attracts people to them coupled with the self assurance to say follow me with confidence that their company can deliver the results their customer is seeking.

Developing your trustworthiness means developing your leadership skills.  You require confidence and authority combined with the knowledge of your products and service.  An understanding of what your prospects do for a living and assuming the responsibility in assisting them in finding a solution to what they require.  This does not mean guarantying their success.

It is about assuming responsibility for assisting them find a solution for what it is that they are seeking.

You must find out what they are looking for and then determine if what you are offering is a good fit for them.  Then put them in the direction of what they require to see that what you are marketing is a solution or a potential solution for whatever it is that they are seeking to change in their life.

Prospects can sense this when you offer it.  Most of them will relax once they know that you are charge and they will willingly follow you once they feel that they can trust you.

So the focus here is not how trustworthy you appear it about how trustworthy you really are.

So begin today to develop a reputation for following through with what you say.  Don’t speak anything that you cannot deliver because the truly great marketers know that power in this industry is to Under Promise and Over Deliver.

Don’t get seduced into promising more than what you can absolutely deliver.  You will build more trust by delivering more than what you speak rather than speaking big and delivering small.  Begin to do this today and you will create a habit of delivering what you promise and more.  Then you will be in a position to say with authority Follow Me.
