How to use Articles to Market Your Music Online

If you are reading this you may be asking yourself:

What am I you going to write about? & how long do these articles need to be?

Let me make this super simple for you. An average person will max out and stop paying attention at about 450 words. That plus the fact that most people read at about a 9th grade level should take the pressure off. Plus, using Articles to Market you Music Online is a great way to build a relationship with you listeners and develop trust.

Consider this…If you are writing your songs on your computer already then you have tons of articles that are  just about finished.  All you need to do is add the bread. Your lyrics, your music, your art is the meat. Add an Intro with a short history maybe mention where you were at the time or what was your inspiration. At the end leave a signature – 2or 3 sentence max- that directs them where to go for more.

With that done now all you need is the Strategy.

The greatest advice for you list building is to think like an expert would. You need to believe you an expert within your subject matter (you do also have to be that expert) you need to convey this to your potential customers with the use of emails along with any information you provide them. Building a large list will be extremely lucrative if done correctly.

Below 4 advanced list building tactics to turbo charge your email marketing procedure:

1. Provide your list with far more complimentary gifts (such as free of charge reports and videos) to your subscribers. However do not simply send them old products you want to get rid of; send the most up-to-date cutting edge information you can by doing this you will create a very receptive email marketing list which opens up every email you send them.

2. Send your list a survey. This is a brilliant tactic used to create trust and encourage responsiveness from your email marketing campaign Ask them what their most challenging problems are, subsequently design products to solve those problems they have highlighted.

3. Always keep the end goal in mind at all times – build a sales funnel designed for your email marketing online business. This as a rule starts with a low-cost product (such as, a $20 ebook or something) ahead of progressing to products such as an advanced home study course or a high end coaching program. Create a customer mailing list using that low-end product and market your high end products to them after. This will make sure you have a constant stream of duplicate customers.

4. Always reply to emails from your potential customers. Any questions they have, always assist them and provide advice. Lots of newsletter publishers simply do not do this; replying to your potential customers emails, you will stand out and create a very responsive mailing list very easily.

The Auto Responder is the equivalent of your Street Team, but on steroids.  Instead of posting flyers and pushing your CD on street corners you have strategic sales funnel in place that positions you as a leader and provide Value to the Marketplace.   It runs all night every night and never complains that their feet hurt.

Each time someone subscribes to your list they will receive an automatic response to that request, welcoming them in to you list.

You then create a list of emails to be sent out to this list every few days.  Intersperse those messages with broadcast messages that you have written about current or upcoming events. The average person needs to be exposed 6 or 7 times before they make a purchase.  You do this with each email.

Online systems like Aweber and Get Response allow you to separate messages by several days, manipulate multiple lists and build a database.

What am I going to write about?

Are you serious?  You write for a living.  The average rap song has over 450 words, 10 catch phrases, 40 headlines, and 3 concepts.  If you can take a look back over your music you will find topics of value.

Now all you need to do is highlight a common problem.

How many of your songs mention your past?   How rough it was growing up and how much you knew things had to get better.  That is the most universally marketable story ever told.

You have endured the pain and struggle.  You found a way out.  You are a leader.  You provide value.
